Beginner Camp Cooking Made Easy

Cooking meals while camping isn't as hard as it sounds. Keep in mind you don't need to make elaborate meals, you can keep it simple. You don't have to cook over a campfire, instead you may choose to cook with a Coleman grill which runs on propane gas. It's really all up to you. If you are new to camping and cooking outdoors then go with a Coleman, it'll make cooling easier, since you will be able to control the flame heat. Some people choose to take a portable BBQ with them and simply BBQ all their meals. If you are a wiz with the BBQ then this may be the easiest method of camp cooking for you.

Some people may think all you eat while camping is sandwiches but this couldn't be further from the truth. You can make just about anything you'd make a home, just keep the ingredient list short and you will do fine.

When planning your camping trip you should create the menu. Having a menu down on paper helps with shopping too!

I like to include several salads, which I make before going on the camping trip. Pasta salad, coleslaw, green salads, all store well in an ice chest.
